1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. Stupid Stinkin’ Trivia contest will begin on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at approximately 5:00pm Central Time (“CT”) and end on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at approximately 6pm CT.
b. To participate in the contest, listeners must tune into SportsRadio 610 Wednesdays at approximately 5:00 pm CT through the duration of the contest and listen for the cue to call in to win. Listeners must call 713-390-5610 and answer four (4) trivia questions correctly to win (see detailed description in section 4 below). Each correct caller will be required to provide his or her first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and date of birth when he or she calls. SportsRadio 610 is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.
c. Contestants may attempt to call in and participate as often as they wish, but may only win once every thirty (30) days in the contest.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all SportsRadio 610 listeners who are 18 years of age or older and legally reside in the Greater Houston area. Employees of SportsRadio 610, its licensee, CBS Radio, their affiliated entities, advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Houston metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a SportsRadio 610 prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months. Listeners can only win this contest once every thirty (30) days.
c. Winners will be required to sign a liability and publicity release and show a valid government-issued identification card to claim prize.
3. Prizes:
a. Prizes vary each week and are announced on air at the time of the contest, prizes include but are not limited to, DVD’s, Video Games, Tickets to Sporting Events [When announcing the tickets to the sporting events, remember to say “ winner and companion will be guests of the station at ….” Instead of saying winner will win tickets to….], and Gift Certificates. Prizes range in value from approximately $50 - $150.
b All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of SportsRadio 610 , 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. SportsRadio 610 is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, solely at its discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash due to prize unavailability or where required by law. The prizes are expressly limited to the items above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expense. Other restrictions may apply.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of SportsRadio 610 management with respect to the contest are final.
b. At approximately 5:00 p.m. CT every Wednesday through the duration of the contest, SportsRadio 610 afternoon hosts Marc & Rich will solicit listeners to call-in to the contest line, 713-390-5610, to play “Stupid Stinkin’ Trivia”. Marc & Rich will take the first listener to reach the contest line and ask them a trivia question, if the listener gets the question correct, they move onto the next question, this continues for 4 total questions [Please state the subject of the four questions.] If the listener gets all the questions correct he or she will win the announced prize, upon confirmation of eligibility. If the listener gets any of the 4 questions wrong then he or she will be dropped and Marc & Rich will take the next listener who is on hold from a bank of listeners on the line and that listener will pick up where the previous listener left off. If that listener gets the question wrong, that contestant will be dropped and the next listener will have the opportunity to guess the same question. Marc & Rich will continue to solicit listeners throughout the contest to call the contest line to participate in “Stupid Stinkin’ Trivia”. This process will continue until all 4 questions are answered. If a question is answered incorrectly by four different people the question will be retired, and a new question will be chosen and asked of the next contestant on the line. The contestant to answer the final question (#4) correctly will win the prize.
c. Odds of winning depend upon the number and order of calls received from eligible entrants.
d. Winner needs to listen but need not be present to win.
e. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen by [INSERT METHOD].
5. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, SportsRadio 610 in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold SportsRadio 610, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. SportsRadio 610 reserves the right to cancel or make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of SportsRadio 610.
f. SportsRadio 610 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of SportsRadio 610, 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 1900, Houston, TX 77046 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to SportsRadio 610.
