Christian Shaffer is an 11 year old boy who is being treated for a very rare brain tumor. He is undergoing radiatio and an experimental drug 5 times a week for 6 weeks. The tumor is terminal but everyone is putting their faith in God and the experimental drug. Visit his website to read his story and donate. Fresh Fridays Hosts 20 Houston Dance Groups @ Discovery Green. Dance Houston presents Home Grown Motion: a gathering of local dancers and the community. Dance Houston aims to raise awareness of dance in and around Houston and to make dance more accessible to Houston patrons. They believe in working with local dancers who reflect the cultural diversity of Houston. The heart of this organization is in coordinating festivals that bring together dancers of many styles. Festive sights and sounds will fill the air at Moody Gardens Nov. 14 through Jan. 2. Santa Claus will kick off the festivities on Nov. 14 by parachuting in to switch on a mile-long trail of more than one million lights. The festival will be celebrated on Thursdays through Saturdays between Nov. 14 and Dec. 16 and daily starting Dec. 17 through Jan. 2, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $5.95.
