Countdown to Kick-Off, Fan Feedback and Co-Host of the Afternoon Drive Time Players Matt Jackson previews the upcoming Texans/Browns game:
"Nothing says NFL excitement like two losing football teams playing for draft picks! Unfortunately for the Texans and the Browns the 1st 10 weeks of the season have their fans thinking about coaching changes and ticket cancellations as opposed to playoff tickets and Super Bowl parties.
Both teams entered the season with high expectations. Cleveland coming off a "new" franchise best 10-6 campaign spent a ton of money to upgrade their defense this season with the addition of DT Shawn Rogers and DE Corey Williams. Unfortunately, their secondary has been unable to stay healthy and their once potent offense has floundered. Last year's pro bowl senstations, QB Derek Anderson and WR Braylon Edwards have taken a major step backward. Anderson has been replaced by Brady Quinn while Edwards continual case of the "dropsies" has his QB looking for other receivers.
The Texans have won only 4 times away from Reliant Stadium under Gary Kubiak. A fourth consecutive defeat will make for a Monday Night funeral rather than a football game on December 1st versus the Jaguars. This should be a high scoring game (aren't they all?) so be sure to start each one of you Texans/Browns fantasy players. All the pageantry and excitement (I keed, I keed) of the Texans and the Browns from the Dawg Pound begins at 9 am with the Capital One Countdown to Kickoff."
